- CYCLE THE TOOL
To open the tool hold the front barrel by the grip provided, and slide the barrel assembly forward firmly until it reaches the barrel stop. The piston is returned within the barrel during this forward movement. To close the tool, push the barrel assembly back into the tool until the closed position is reached.
- INSERTING CHARGE STRIP
With the tool in the closed position insert a charge strip into the cavity in the base of the rubber handle and push it in until the flat of your finger tip is firmly against the handle recess. The first charge is now aligned with the charge chamber prior to cocking.
- LOADING
While pointing the tool down and away from yourself and any other person, insert a fastener, head first into the muzzle end of the fastener guide at the front end of the tool.
- FIRING
To fire the tool, press it firmly against the work surface and pull the trigger. Always hold the tool securely, with a well balanced stance.
- INDEXING CHARGE STRIP
The spent charge is removed from the tool"s chamber semi-automatically as part of the opening and closing sequence. The opening of the tool resets the charge index lever and the strip is lifted by the closing of the tool, bringing a fresh charge to the chamber.
NOTE: Double Index Control - If the tool is closed SLOWLY, subsequent opening and closing cycles will not index the fresh charge away from the chamber. Subsequent firing of the tool will reset the charge index lever and permit spent charge removal.
Strip Removal - If you need to remove the strip from the tool for safety purposes, FAST closing of the tool will override the double index control, allowing the strip to be indexed sufficiently to enable it to be manually removed.
