FORMMASTERTM

OVERVIEW
The RamsetTM FormMasterTM Tool has been designed to incorporate the ultimate in reliability and simplicity, yet be one of the most powerful .27 calibre PA tools available in the range today. It is ideally suited to carpenters for fastening timber to concrete (in particular formwork applications).

The RamsetTM FormMasterTM Tool is a safe to use low velocity piston tool working on the impact piston principle, referred to as an Indirect Acting Captive Pistol Tool.

FEATURE BENEFITS
Operator Comfort
  • Ergonomically designed for maximum comfort incorporating a cushion into the handle to minimise recoil.
Light weight
  • The tool is engineered from high tech materials to minimise weight and thus reduce operator fatigue.
Thermally insulated
  • The tools utilise heat resistant materials to ensure cooler operation when in continuous use.
Multiple power levels
  • Controlled adjustment of the driving power of the piston giving multiple power strength settings of the power loads.
Collated power loads
  • Power loads are collated into 10 shot strips and are coloured to match the three strengths available GREEN, YELLOW, RED, .27 calibre x 11 Rimfir Blank Charge.
Reliability
  • A tough piston and outer body ensures reliability and a long in field life, with minimal down time for servicing and maintenance.
Uniqueness of Design
  • The RamsetTM FormMasterTM tools contains several unique patented design features, resulting from extensive research and development over many years, giving improved safety, greater reliability, ease of use and operator comfort.

USES

RamsetTM Fastening Tools are designed for the following applications:
  1. Setting drive pins through material (wood, light gauge metal, hardboard, insulation etc.) into masonry materials or steel, greater than 4mm thick.

  2. Setting threaded studs into masonry materials or steel, greater than 4mm thick for the attachment of pre-drilled material (wood, metal, plastics, insulation etc.) With nut and washer.

Setting drive pins through material (wood, light gauge metal, hardboard insulation etc.) into masonry materials or steel.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. PREPARATION
  2. Put on safety eye and ear protection.
  3. Clear people from local area.
  4. Erect warning signs.
  5. Check the local environment is safe for the use of PA Tools, i.e. free from inflammable gases, explosive materials etc. Refer Safety Precautions.
  6. Check that the material to be fixed into is suitable for use with a PA Tool. Refer Safety Precautions. If in doubt, test material for soundness and hardness or contact your Ramset representative.

  7. CYCLE THE TOOL
To open the tool hold the front barrel by the grip provided, and slide the barrel assembly forward firmly until it reaches the barrel stop. The piston is returned within the barrel during this forward movement. To close the tool, push the barrel assembly back into the tool until the closed position is reached.
  8. LOADING FASTENERS
Select the correct fastener for the application, while pointing the tool down and away from yourself and any other person, insert a fastener, head first into the muzzle end of the fastener guide at the front end of the tool.
  9. INSERTING POWER LOAD STRIP
With the tool in the closed position insert a power load strip into the cavity in the base of the rubber handle and push it in until the flat of your finger tip is firmly against the handle recess. The first power load is now aligned with the power load chamber prior to cocking. NOTE: Always use the lowest strength power load and lowest power setting first for firing test.
  10. FIRING
To fire the tool, press it firmly against the work surface, ensuring the tool is at right angles (90°) in both directions to the work surface. Always hold the tool securely, with a well balanced stance, positioning your body comfortably in line with the tool, then pull the trigger.
