WALLMATETM

OVERVIEW

Zinc WallMateTM have been available in Australia for some time now.

ITW/Buildex hold the patent for this product and have managed to retain 100% of the market as no other anchor of its type has been developed to date.

Through special negotiations only RamsetTM has private labelling rights of the WallMateTM giving us an edge in the market place with
this product.

The WallMateTM self drilling plasterboard anchor has traditionally been available in the Australian market in a zinc material for use in plasterboard, thin wall-panelling and ceiling boards. It is ideal for hanging things such as paintings, plant brackets etc.

The WallMateTM has a Phillips recess head, the tapered body is threaded to a self drilling point.

The WallMateTM has a "snap-away" point which allows the use of any length 8 gauge screw/hook which will give a minimum of 20mm thread embedment in the anchor.
The WallMateTM will hold up to 10kg in plasterboard.

WallMateTM can also be used in other cavity wall materials, for example, chipboard by pre-drilling a 6.5mm diameter pilot hole before installing.

INSTALLATION

The installation of both the Zinc and Nylon WallMateTM remains the same. The differences are that the Zinc WallMateTM product takes an 8 gauge screw and the Nylon WallMateTM takes a 6-7 gauge screw. Zinc Wall-MateTM has a “snap-away” point and the nylon WallMateTM has a “push-away” point.

  1. Place WallMateTM on the end of a Philips head screwdriver and lightly pierce the plasterboard face paper.
  2. Using firm pressure, screw WallMateTM into the plasterboard until head is tight against the face paper.
  3. Choose a 6-7 gauge screw or hook (zinc = 8 gauge) suitable for the particular application then attach the item to be fixed by driving the screw or hook into the WallMateTM. The “push away” point on WallMateTM allows for the use of length screws.
