EasyDrive is an all metal expanding nylon anchor for installation without using a screwdriver. It can
be used in solid concrete and masonry and is available in two configurations. The ED style being a removable anchor, incorporating a collapsible sleeve design,
allowing for a positive pull down of fixture.
Both anchor types are available with a steel zinc plated or stainless steel expansion screw nail.
NOTE: The holding power of any anchor is often only as strong as the surrounding material that it is set into, ensure that the load required is not greater than the safe working load as quoted.
The EasyDriveTM Anchor must not be used overhead in a direct tension loaded situation, as there is a possibility of the mushroom head shearing off under load, e.g. air conditioning duct support straps, suspended ceiling applications or other suspension type applications.
To install, follow the three step principle which applies to most of our masonry anchor systems.
- Drill a neat hole into the work surface, using the fixture to be fastened as a template. Ensure that you drill the hole 8mm deeper than the embedment depth of the anchor to allow for the expansion nail to protrude through the end of the anchor. Clean out all surplus residue and dust from the hole.
- Insert and press fully home the EasyDriveTM Anchor through the material being fastened up to the anchor collar.
- After the anchor sleeve has been pressed fully home, drive the expansion nail, using a screw or hammer, until the head of the nail is flush into the mushroom head.
